Million Moons Alternative Mix
Thursday 28th November 2024 sees the release of an alternative mix of ‘Million Moons’ which was orginally recorded in 2020.
‘Million Moon’s’ first appreared on Gerr’s debut album ‘Ghosts of Hope & Magic’ in 2021. The album version was mixed by Anthony Gibney of Audioland Studios, Leixlip.
An alternative version was mixed by renowned Irish Singer Songwriter and Producer Joe Chester. This version has never been heard before until now. It is available on all streaming platforms from Thursday 28th November 2024.
About Gerr Walsh
Gerr Walsh released his debut EP of Indie Folk songs ‘Prevailing Winds’ in 2016 and his follow up album ‘Ghosts of Hope & Magic’ in October of 2021. He received a wave of support on RTE Radio1 from many DJ’s including John Creedon, Lilian Smith & Fiachna ó Braonáin. In 2022 he appeared on RTE’s ‘Ireland in Music’ which was broadcast around the world. Tony Clayton Lea gave the album 3 1/2 Stars in The Business Post describing it as ‘FLUID, CINEMATIC & SEDUCTIVE’ comparing it to the likes of Elbow and The Blue Nile.
In 2024 Gerr recently played a string of shows country wide including supporting Gemma Hayes, Paddy Casey and a joint show in July with Naimee Coleman at Whelan’s. In October he performed on The Ray Darcy Show. Gerr is finishing a new album to release in 2025.
